fair jewelry handcrafted in Afghanistan.

collection
SEVAR Studios combines traditional Afghan jewelry craftsmanship with timeless design. The two collections, Goshwara and Afghanistan, consist of 12 pieces of jewelry – necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. SEVAR Studios is available here in the shop as well as at Folkdays and The White Label Project , among others.

purpose
SEVAR Studios aims to celebrate the beauty of traditional Afghan craftsmanship and raise awareness of its millennia-old history. SEVAR invests profits in a goldsmith training program for men with war injuries and congenital physical disabilities, implemented by the non-governmental organization Visions for Children eV.

production
SEVAR jewelry is carefully handcrafted by local artisans, making each piece unique. The collections are distinguished by the use of 925 silver and dark blue lapis lazuli, which is native to Afghanistan.

founders
SEVAR was founded by sisters Hila & Wana Limar from Afghanistan to combine their affinity for design and fashion with an educational and sustainable approach.
Hila, a trained architect, is chairwoman of the NGO Visions for Children eV and has led the association since 2009. Wana works as a producer and creative in the fashion and entertainment industry and uses her reach for socio-political issues.
