Inspired by the cycles of nature, the new SEVAR collection is called "Daira," "circle" in Dari. This collection also marks the first addition of rings to our range. The "Daira 2" ring can be worn in combination with the other "Daira" rings, but is also a beautiful piece of jewelry in its own right. It is delicate, yet its lapis lazuli stripe lends it a distinctive individuality.

The rings are crafted in Afghanistan by local jewelers using sophisticated craftsmanship. International trade allows the artisans not only to continue the region's centuries-old tradition of jewelry making amid the humanitarian crisis in the country, but also to secure an important source of income for themselves and their families.

The "Daira" collection includes three stackable rings, one of which is wide and organically shaped, while the other two are slightly narrower and more delicate. They look great on their own or paired. The "Daira" rings were designed in collaboration with Viviana Krefeld from Kewl Jewl Krew .

Crafted from sterling silver, the rings are adorned with lapis lazuli from Afghanistan. The deep blue color of the lapis lazuli evokes the beauty of the Afghan landscape and underscores the uniqueness of each piece.

Please note that each pair is handmade from natural materials. No two pieces are alike, but rather beautifully unique. Variations from the photos may therefore occur. You can find out your ring size with the help of these tips.

The name "Daira"

The name "Daira" means "circle" in Dari. In addition to the shape of the rings, we were inspired by the cycle of life, the idea of repetition and infinity—in all of our lives, but also in human history.

The rings of the "Daira" collection remind us how everything is connected and what beauty can lie in cycles and recognition.

SEVAR Studios

The designs were created by Hila Limar (architect and chairwoman of the non-profit organization Visions for Children e.V.) and Wana Limar (creative producer, presenter, ambassador, and member of the PR team at Visions for Children e.V.). The jewelry pieces were carefully handcrafted in a goldsmith's workshop in the Afghan capital, Kabul.

With this collaboration, the Afghan-born sisters Hila and Wana Limar are also introducing their new jewelry label SEVAR Studios. SEVAR Studios combines the sisters' shared affinity for artistic design with an educational, sustainable approach—thus combining their long-standing commitment to education, particularly through the non-profit organization Visions for Children e.V., with their love of art and aesthetics. Profits generated by SEVAR Studios flow into a goldsmith training program in Kabul.
